The ultimate El Nido experience packed into 5 days, covering all four island-hopping tours, the best beaches, a dramatic cliff sunrise, and plenty of time to soak up the laid-back atmosphere.

This itinerary balances adventure with relaxation, starting with the iconic lagoons and ending with a sunrise climb. Each day is designed to complement the next, with rest days between the more active tours.

Day 1

  1. Arrive in El Nido Start
    Afternoon here
    Arrive via van from Puerto Princesa or flight to Lio Airport. Check into your hotel, pay environmental fees (P200) and eco-tourism fee (P200) at the Tourism Office.
  2. Las Cabanas Sunset Highlight
    2-3 hours here
    Head to Las Cabanas Beach for your first El Nido sunset. Beach bars, beanbags, and the islands silhouetted against an orange sky.
    Tip: Arrive by 4:30 PM for a good spot.

Day 2

  1. Tour A: The Iconic Lagoons Highlight
    Full day (8:30 AM - 4 PM) here ₱1,200
    The most popular tour for good reason. Visit Big Lagoon, Small Lagoon, Shimizu Island, and Seven Commandos Beach.
    Tip: Rent a kayak at Big Lagoon (P200). Best snorkeling at Shimizu Island.
  2. Night Market Dinner Rest
    Evening here
    After the tour, explore the night market on the beach for cheap BBQ, fresh seafood, and local food.

Day 3

  1. Tour C: The Adventurous One Highlight
    Full day (8:30 AM - 4 PM) here ₱1,200
    Many locals' favorite tour. Visit Secret Beach, Hidden Beach, Cathedral Cave, and Helicopter Island.
    Tip: Water shoes essential. Best snorkeling at Helicopter Island.
  2. Town Exploration Stop
    Evening here
    Evening: explore El Nido town restaurants. Try Happiness Beach Bar for seafood or Altrove for pizza.

Day 4

  1. Nacpan Beach Day Highlight
    Half day here
    Rent a motorbike (P500-700) and ride 30 minutes north to Nacpan Beach, 4km of golden sand. Walk to the twin beach viewpoint at the north end.
    Tip: Stay for sunset. The beach faces west and the colors are incredible.
  2. Duli Beach (Optional) Stop
    2-3 hours here
    If you're feeling adventurous, continue north to Duli Beach (30 min). A wild surfing beach with zero crowds.

Day 5

  1. Taraw Cliff Sunrise Highlight
    2-3 hours here ₱500
    Wake at 4:30 AM for the ultimate El Nido experience. Scramble up razor-sharp limestone with ropes and gloves to reach the 360° panoramic viewpoint as the sun rises over Bacuit Bay.
    Tip: Bring gloves (P50), headlamp, and water. Guide required (P500).
  2. Rest & Depart End
    Morning/Afternoon here
    Recover with a big breakfast and a massage (P300-400/hour). Last swim at the town beach. Depart for your next destination or head back to Puerto Princesa.

Pace yourself. It's tempting to pack every hour, but El Nido is best enjoyed with downtime.

Book tours the day before at any tour operator along the main street.

Rent a motorbike for Days 4-5. It gives you freedom to explore at your own pace.
