Las Cabanas Beach
Las Cabanas (also called Marimegmeg Beach) is El Nido's go-to sunset spot. Located just 15 minutes south of town by tricycle, this beach offers golden sand, beach bars with music, and unobstructed views of the western horizon with islands silhouetted against the sky.
The beach is famous for its zipline that runs from the hillside down to a small island offshore (P500). There are several beach bars and restaurants right on the sand, making it perfect for an afternoon-into-evening hangout.
The swimming is good here, though the beach can be narrow at high tide. The southern end is quieter if you want to escape the bar scene.

Take a tricycle south from El Nido town. The ride is 10 to 15 minutes and costs about P100 to P250 depending on how many of you there are.

Drivers stop at the Vanilla Beach sign on the main road, where there is parking with security, then it is about a five minute walk down through the shops to the sand.

The beach itself is free. The zipline across to Depeldet Island is priced separately and runs from 9am to 5.30pm.

Swimming is shallow and rocky in patches, so bring water shoes. Most people come late in the day for the sunset.
