Puerto Princesa to El Nido
The overland journey from Puerto Princesa to El Nido is the most common route for travelers arriving at Palawan's main airport. While 5-6 hours in a van might sound daunting, the drive passes through Palawan's interior with views of rice paddies, coconut plantations, and jungle-covered mountains.
Multiple van companies operate this route daily, with departures starting as early as 4:00 AM. The road is mostly well-paved with occasional rough patches. A restroom and food stop is usually made around the midpoint in Roxas.
