Port Barton Beach

Beach Easy beach sunset free village

Port Barton's main beach is the heart of the village: a crescent-shaped stretch of golden sand lined with coconut palms and colorful bangka fishing boats. It's not the whitest sand in Palawan, but the atmosphere is unbeatable: genuine village life, zero pretension, and sunsets that rival El Nido's.

The beach is the social center of Port Barton. Guesthouses and restaurants back right onto the sand, and in the evening locals and travelers gather to watch the sun drop behind the offshore islands. Kids play in the shallows while fishermen prep their boats for the morning.

Swimming is good, especially at the north end where the water is calmer. The south end has a small reef for basic snorkeling.

Local tip
Walk to the north end for the quietest swimming spot. Sunset is the magic hour, so grab a drink at any beachfront restaurant and watch the show.
