Capsalay Island

Island Easy island snorkeling beach lighthouse

Capsalay Island is the closest island to Port Barton, just a 10-minute boat ride from the main beach. The island has a small white sand beach on one side and a rocky shoreline with good snorkeling on the other.

A short trail leads to a small lighthouse at the top of the island, offering views back to Port Barton and across to the other islands. The snorkeling around the island is decent, with coral and reef fish visible in the clear water.

Some island-hopping tours include Capsalay as a stop, or you can hire a local fisherman to take you over for P200-300 roundtrip. It's a perfect half-day trip if you don't want a full island-hopping tour.

Local tip
Hire a fisherman from the beach for P200-300 roundtrip. It's cheaper than a tour and you can stay as long as you want. The lighthouse trail takes 10 minutes.
