San Miguel Beach

Beach Easy beach village authentic base-camp

San Miguel is the main town of Linapacan municipality, and its beach serves as the gateway to the surrounding islands. The beach itself is a long stretch of sand with the famously clear Linapacan water. Even here in the harbor, the water is crystal clear.

The town has a handful of basic homestays and sari-sari stores (small shops). This is where expedition boats from El Nido typically stop for the night, and where independent travelers arrange boat trips to the surrounding islands.

The atmosphere is pure, authentic Palawan: fishing boats, children playing, and a pace of life untouched by mass tourism. If you want to see what El Nido was like 20 years ago, this is it.

Local tip
Stay at a local homestay (P500-800/night) and arrange island hopping with a fisherman. Much cheaper than expedition tours and you set your own pace.
