Nagkalit-Kalit Falls

Waterfall Moderate waterfall hiking adventure swimming

Nagkalit-Kalit Falls is a set of twin waterfalls tucked deep in the jungle behind El Nido. The trek to reach them (about 45 minutes each way) involves multiple river crossings, boulder hopping, and wading through knee-deep water, making it a genuine adventure.

The twin falls cascade side by side into a deep pool surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. The water is cool and clean, perfect for swimming after the hot hike. The setting is absolutely pristine: dense jungle, butterflies, and the sound of rushing water.

A local guide is required (P500-800) and highly recommended as the trail is not well-marked and river levels can change after rain. Water shoes are essential.

  3. Trek 45 minutes through the jungle, crossing the river multiple times. Wear water shoes.

Local tip
Go in the morning before it gets hot. Hire a guide from town (P500-800). The trail is confusing without one. Don't go after heavy rain, the river crossings become dangerous.
