About
Corong-Corong is the relaxed neighbor to El Nido's bustling town beach. Located about 10 minutes south by tricycle, this long stretch of sand has a more mellow vibe with beachfront restaurants, hammocks, and kayak rentals.
The beach faces directly west, making it one of the best sunset spots in the area. Several mid-range and boutique hotels line the shore, making Corong-Corong a popular alternative to staying in the noisier town center.
At low tide, the beach expands dramatically with wide tidal flats that reflect the sky beautifully. Kayaks can be rented (P300-500/hour) to paddle around the offshore rocks and small islands.
Local tip
Stay in Corong-Corong instead of town if you want quiet. You're close enough to town by tricycle (P100) but far enough for peace. The tidal flat reflections at sunset are incredibly photogenic.
