Banana Island

Island Easy island beach snorkeling outer-islands

Banana Island is one of the outer islands visited on extended Coron island-hopping tours. The island has two distinct beaches: a longer stretch of white sand with palm trees on one side, and a smaller hidden cove on the other.

The water around Banana Island is exceptionally clear with excellent snorkeling, particularly off the rocky points between the two beaches. Sea turtles are occasionally spotted in the seagrass beds nearby.

The island has a more relaxed, remote feel compared to the popular Kayangan/Twin Lagoon circuit. Some tours offer overnight camping on the beach, a unique experience under the stars.

Local tip
Request the outer island tour that includes Banana and Malcapuya. It's a different experience from the standard tour. The second (smaller) beach is the prettier one.
