Onuk Island
Onuk Island is arguably the most stunning island in the entire Philippines. Its massive crescent-shaped sandbar extends hundreds of meters into waters so clear and turquoise they genuinely look digitally enhanced. This is Maldives-quality beauty at Palawan's southernmost tip.
The island is uninhabited and undeveloped: no buildings, no vendors, just pure natural beauty. The sandbar shifts with the tides, sometimes connecting to a neighboring islet. At low tide, you can walk the entire length surrounded by knee-deep turquoise water.
Reaching Onuk requires commitment: a full day of travel from Puerto Princesa plus a boat charter from Balabac town. But for those who make the journey, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
