Гора Сложно Summit Expedition Highest in Palawan
Mt. Mantalingahan crowns the protected landscape that walls off southern Palawan: 2,086 meters of mossy forest, knife ridgelines, and weather that changes its mind hourly. The summit itself sits in Rizal municipality; the classic routes climb from Ransang on the Rizal side and Malis on the Brooke's Point side. This is an expedition, not a hike: 3–5 days, river crossings, and camps in the territory of the Palaw'an indigenous communities, whose guides and porters you'll hire; both are required, and they bring the best route knowledge on the mountain. Permits come from the DENR and the municipal tourism offices and take time. The reward is a summit very few people ever stand on, above an unbroken sea of rainforest.
Совет от местных
Start the paperwork weeks ahead: DENR and municipal permits are mandatory and slow. Budget properly for guides and porters from the local communities, and build a spare day into the plan: the mountain makes its own weather.
