About this route

North on the El Nido highway, then west on the winding spur road down to the coast. Several van companies run it daily from San Jose Terminal.

The last 22 km used to be Palawan's most notorious stretch of mud; it's paved now, just twisty.

Travel Tips
Sit on the left for the coastal views on the descent. Book your van out of Port Barton a day ahead; seats are limited and the town empties north toward El Nido every morning.
