About this route

Port Barton's island hopping tour is Palawan's best-kept secret and incredible value. For P700-800/person (half the price of El Nido), you visit 3-4 islands with excellent snorkeling, sea turtle encounters, and pristine beaches with virtually no crowds.

The tour typically includes German Island (famous for sea turtle sightings), Exotic Island (postcard-perfect beach), and one or two reef snorkeling stops. Lunch is freshly grilled fish on the beach.

The Route
  1. Port Barton Beach Start
    Boarding here
    Depart from Port Barton main beach around 8:30-9:00 AM.
  2. German Island Highlight
    45-60 min here ₱700
    Famous for sea turtles grazing in the seagrass beds. Swim quietly for close encounters.
    Tip: Swim to the seagrass area for turtles.
  3. Exotic Island Highlight
    1-1.5 hours here ₱700
    Tiny paradise island with white sand, palm trees, and amazing snorkeling.
  4. Reef Snorkeling Stop Stop
    30-45 min here
    Open water snorkeling over a vibrant coral reef. Look for reef sharks, clownfish, and giant clams.
  5. Return to Port Barton End
    Arrival here
    Return to Port Barton beach around 3:00-4:00 PM.

Best value in Palawan: half the price of El Nido with comparable beauty and far fewer tourists.

Bring an underwater camera: sea turtle encounters at German Island are almost guaranteed.
