Paradise Island
Paradise Island is a small wooded island in the northern part of Port Barton bay and a regular stop on the island hopping circuit. Boats land on the main beach, a strip of fine pale sand with calm water that suits a proper swim.
A path from the beach climbs for about five minutes to a lookout over the neighbouring islands and the bay. On the far side of the island there is a smaller, quieter cove that most people miss, so ask your boatman where the path to it starts.
Many crews cook and serve lunch here, and locals sometimes sell coconuts on the sand. The snorkelling right off the beach is thin, so save your mask for the reef stops.

Get to Port Barton by van from Puerto Princesa (about three hours) or from El Nido (four to five hours).

Book an island hopping tour in the village that lists Paradise Island. It is on most Tour B routes, alongside Fantastic Reef and Capsalay.

Boats leave the village beach around 8:45 to 9am and reach the island in roughly 30 minutes.

From the landing beach, take the path uphill for about five minutes to the viewpoint.
