Lusong Coral Garden combines two attractions: a vibrant shallow coral reef perfect for snorkeling, and the remains of a WWII Japanese gunboat sitting in 3-5 meters of water, visible from the surface.
The coral garden is one of the healthiest in Coron, with excellent visibility and a huge variety of reef fish. The gunboat wreck is encrusted with coral and sponges, making it a fascinating snorkel even if you don't dive.
This is usually included in the standard island-hopping tour and is a great spot for underwater photography.
How to get there

Lusong Coral Garden is a snorkelling stop on the Reefs and Wrecks tour, not on the Coron Island lake circuit, and the boat ride from the Coron town pier takes about an hour.

It sits beside the Lusong Gunboat, a small WWII Japanese wreck whose stern breaks the surface at low tide, which makes it one of the few wrecks in Coron a snorkeller can see without diving.

Go on a low or falling tide, since at high water the wreck sits too deep to make out from the surface.

The coral garden and the gunboat are charged as two separate fees, both normally inside your tour price.

Local tip
