The busiest road in Palawan, connecting the capital to El Nido. Shared vans leave San Jose Terminal roughly hourly through the day; Cherry Bus runs the same route cheaper (₱651–998) and slower (~6 hrs) with seats you can actually sleep in.

The road is fully paved. Vans stop once for lunch around Roxas; beyond that, it's rice paddies, karst, and coastline.

  1. San Jose Terminal, Puerto Princesa Start
    0 km from start
All vans and Cherry Bus departures start here. Tricycle from downtown.
  2. Roxas lunch stop Rest
~135 km from start 20–30 min here ₱150
The standard halfway break: carinderia food, toilets, and the last decent coffee before El Nido.
  3. Taytay junction Viewpoint
    ~190 km from start
The old Spanish capital sits just off the highway, worth breaking the trip for Fort Santa Isabel if you're not in a hurry.
  4. El Nido town End
    ~230 km from start
Vans drop at the terminal just outside town; tricycles finish the job.
Book the van a day ahead in high season and ask for the front row if you get carsick, because the last hour twists through hills. Night buses exist but you arrive at 3am to a town that's asleep.
