🗺️ EXPEDITION PROGRAMME
Day 1: The secrets of Coron Island and a first night under the stars
🍹 Welcome cocktail, meeting the crew and a briefing. We leave the noisy town behind and head for the sheer cliffs.
🏞️ Kayangan Lake is the calling card of the Philippines: a crystal-clear freshwater lake framed by majestic karst cliffs. The famous viewpoint is where those postcard shots are taken. We arrive in the "golden hour" to avoid the crowds.
🤿 Skeleton Wreck is a first look at the underwater world. A Japanese ship just a couple of metres below the surface, ideal for snorkelling.
🌅 Evening passage to a sheltered bay off the islands of Uson or Culion. A dinner of fresh grilled seafood and a night in absolute silence.
Day 2: Barracuda Lake and the "Bounty beach" of Diatayan
🛶 Barracuda Lake is a crystal-clear lake in the crater of an ancient underwater volcano, with bottomless rocky relief and a fantastic play of light. For freedivers, a dive into the Devil's Eye.
⛵ A short passage under sail to the west, to the uninhabited island of Diatayan. Powder-white sand, turquoise water and coconut palms.
🥥 The captain gives a masterclass in getting coconuts straight from the palm.
🔥 Beach barbecue: dinner on the shore, a campfire and a cosy party under the stars. We spend the night right in the bay.
Day 3: The lost world of Black Island
☀️ Breakfast with a view of turquoise water. A passage under sail to Malajon Island (also known as Black Island).
🏔️ Giant black karst cliffs contrast sharply with a dazzling white beach of fantastic beauty. The masters of the island, monitor lizards, run along the shore. We explore mysterious caves and a freshwater lake hidden in the rocks.
🤿 Off the shore, at a depth of just 5 metres, lies a sunken Japanese ship, with hundreds of tropical fish around it.
🍽️ Final night in a sheltered cove of Gutob Bay. Dinner and swapping photos.
Day 4: A warplane, jungle and giraffes
🦒 In the morning we head to Calauit Island, a safari park where giraffes and zebras live in the wild. A unique chance to feed a giraffe from your hand.
🛶 Passage to the Marina Del Sol lagoon. We go out on kayaks to see a military plane that crashed right in the jungle, an incredibly atmospheric sight.
🚤 Then we switch to a motorboat and go up a winding river through wild jungle, like a scene from an adventure film.
🏝️ The final note is lunch at a restaurant on the shore, with dishes of the local cuisine.
👋 18:00: mooring, goodbye to the crew, transfer to your hotel or the airport. You can stay on at Marina Del Sol by renting a cosy cottage.
